Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 18, 2026
Last updated: September 6, 2026

Innokentii Antonov ("we", "us", or "our") operates the cryptoc mobile application (the "App"), available on the Apple App Store. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

By using the App you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the App. We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information - no registration is required.

DataPurposeCollected by
Device identifier & push notification token Delivering price alerts you configure Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google LLC)
Crash reports (device model, OS version, app version, stack trace, and the app's state at the time - memory, battery, orientation). No IP address is sent with them, so they carry no location. Diagnosing and fixing bugs Bugsnag (SmartBear Software)
Anonymous usage events (features used, e.g. an alert created or a purchase attempted) with a randomly generated identifier. The identifier belongs to your copy of the App rather than to a single device, so if you use the App on more than one of your own devices they count as one person instead of several. It is not derived from anything about you or your hardware. Understanding which features are valuable, and counting how many people use the App AppMetrica (Yandex) and our own infrastructure
A once-a-day signal from a home-screen widget, or from the Apple Watch app and its complications, that it is in use - carrying that random identifier, the platform, and which of the two it came from. It never carries which coins you follow. Counting people who use the widget or the watch without opening the App, so they are not recorded as having stopped using it Our infrastructure (Google Firebase)
Coin symbols on your watchlist, while market-move alerts are on Knowing which coins to send you those alerts about Our infrastructure (Google Firebase)
IP address Standard server-side logging; not stored long-term Our infrastructure / third-party APIs

None of this identifies you personally. The App never asks for and never sends your name, email address, phone number, wallet addresses or exchange credentials. The identifier above is a random value first generated on one of your devices; your other devices adopt the same one so that you are counted once rather than several times. It is not derived from anything about you or your hardware, and there is no account to link it to - the App has no sign-up and no login.

It is also a separate identifier from the one that holds your price alerts and your notification settings. We keep the two apart on purpose and never store them together, so the usage statistics above cannot be connected to the alerts you set or the coins you follow.

You can switch the usage statistics off entirely: Settings → About project → Anonymous usage statistics. Doing so also stops the daily widget and watch signal. Crash reports are separate and stay on - they are what make a crash fixable, and they carry none of the identifiers above.

Your portfolio never reaches our servers - not your holdings, not the amounts, not what they cost you. Your portfolio, watchlist and settings are stored on your device and, so that they survive reinstalling the App, in a private backup inside your own cloud account - Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store on iOS, and the hidden app-data folder of your Google Drive on Android if you connect it in Settings. Those backups belong to your Apple or Google account; we have no access to them and never receive their contents.

The one exception, and it is a narrow one: while market-move alerts are switched on, the coin symbols on your watchlist are stored on our servers, because that is how we know which coins to alert you about. Symbols only - never how much of anything you hold.

No data is sold or used for advertising. We do not track you across other apps or websites and the App contains no advertising SDKs. Cryptocurrency prices displayed in the App come from public market data APIs; we do not record which assets you view.

2. Push Notifications (Price Alerts)

If you enable price alerts, the App registers a push notification token with Firebase Cloud Messaging. This token is used solely to deliver the alerts you set. You can disable notifications at any time in your device Settings. When you disable alerts in the App, the token is deleted from our systems.

Each alert you create is stored on our servers so that it can be evaluated against live market data: the coin symbol, your target price and the condition you chose. Deleting an alert deletes it from our systems.

Market-move alerts - the automatic ones about big price moves, which you can switch off in Settings - additionally store the coin symbols on your watchlist, your app language and your time zone, so the alerts go to the right people, in the right language, and not in the middle of your night. Switching them off stops those alerts; nothing about your holdings is stored either way.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each subject to its own privacy policy:

These services may process data outside your country of residence, including in the United States.

4. Data Retention

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to any stored data is restricted to the developer. No system can guarantee complete security; use the App at your own risk.

6. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights (GDPR - EEA and UK Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

Our legal basis for processing crash reports and analytics is legitimate interest (improving stability and usability of the App). Our legal basis for processing push notification tokens is consent (you explicitly enable alerts).

9. Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via an update to this Privacy Policy before data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. For material changes we will provide notice through the App or other means. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
